Founding Purpose

The Professional Combat Sports Association (PCSA) was founded with the purpose of becoming the prime provider of mixed martial arts (MMA) in Ghana. PCSA focuses on:

  • Providing training facilities and amenities for young fighters

  • Supplying qualified coaches

  • Organizing events for fighters to exhibit their skills

  • Offering remuneration and opportunities for both national and international recognition​

Growth and Partnerships

As PCSA grew, it formed key partnerships with:

  • Ghana Jiu-Jitsu Federation

  • Gracie Barra (a renowned Jiu-Jitsu academy in the UK)

  • Kickboxing Federation of Ghana

Through these collaborations, PCSA established a strong network across multiple combat sports disciplines​

Expansion into Schools

PCSA has launched successful pilot programs in schools, including:

  • Becky’s Foundation (in Senya Beraku, Ghana)

  • Westfield Montessori School (in Teshie, Accra)

Negotiations are ongoing with schools like Alpha Beta School to further expand the program. Weekly sessions are being introduced, where instructors teach basic, kid-friendly Jiu-Jitsu under the course titled “Yoga for Jiu-Jitsu

Vision for the Future

PCSA aims to usher in a new era of combat sports in Ghana by:

  • Running weekly programs and live-streamed events

  • Featuring fights on betting platforms like SuperBet and SportsBet

  • Operating a model similar to WWE but with a mix of various martial arts styles.

The dream is creating an exciting, sustainable, globally recognized combat sports environment.

Building Infrastructure

PCSA is in the process of creating a comprehensive database of:

  • Over 65 fighters

  • Approximately 20 instructors/coaches

  • 7 gyms (including 2 international gyms)​.

These gyms serve as training hubs for young fighters, helping to solidify the organization’s base.
